Booking Conditions

With best endeavours, Ski Express has provided accurate prices and details for information available at the time of brochure production. Ski Express can not be held responsible for any errors or omissions associated with this programme. Ski Express will inform you or your travel agent on any major changes to the information featured in the website.

Prices: Prices are quoted in Australian dollars and are current at as July 2007. Prices quoted on the website are based on cash payment, any payments made via credit card will incur an addtional merchant fee. (Visa/Mastercard will incur a addtional 1%, Amercian Expres 1.3%).

Should the exchange rates fluctuate, or ground/airline costs increase, you will be required to pay any such increase, prior to departure. Prices are valid for travel from 1 November 2007 to 30 April 2008.

Reservations: Bookings can be made through licensed AFTA travel agents. They should normally be processed and confirmed within 48 hours.

Deposit: A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of $400 per passenger will be required at the time of confirmation of booking. Due to ground/airline supplier policy, additional deposits may be required at the time of booking.

Ground suppliers fees: Some accommodation suppliers apply cancellation fees immediately a booking is confirmed. Customers will be liable for any such fees where applicable.


Amendments: Any changes to your confirmed booking will incur a $45 levy per booking amendment. If amendments are made and the booking value increases, the fee will be waivered, providing ground/airline suppliers do not impose any additional amendment charges. If amendments occur after documentation has been issued, a fee of $55 will be charged

Late Bookings:
For any bookings made within 20 working days (Mon-Fri) of departure, a $50 surcharge per booking may apply due to increased communication & distribution costs.

Balance: Total booking amount, less deposits previously received is due in full 45 working days (Mon-Fri) prior to departure, or immediately if departing within 45 working days of departure. Some hotels / resorts require full payment at time of confirmation. If this is the case, deposit and balance will be required at time confirmation received.

Documents: Issue of travel documents will be, with best endeavours, within 10 working days of receipt of full payment. During peak periods of operation, documents will be issued, based on departure dates. If amendments occur after documentation has been issued, a fee of $55 will be charged.

Cancellations: Cancellation of a booking outside 45 working days prior to departure will incur a $100 + GST per passenger fee plus any applicable ground/airline supplier charges, which in some cases maybe as high as the total individual service charge. Within 45 working days, a $150 + GST per passenger fee, plus any additional charges outlined previously will apply.

Refunds: No refunds apply for unused services after travel has commenced.

Images, maps & product inclusions: All products included in this brochure are based on the latest information available. Ski Express does not guarantee standard or class of accommodation, car hire, transport or sightseeing.Maps are not to scale and should be used as a guide only. All images are representative of the product/place only and may differ and are subject to change. Bedding configurations are intended as a guide only and may vary. Bedding can not be guaranteed.

Snow Conditions: Ski areas provide snow reports indicating conditions at the time of compiling. Ski Express cannot under any circumstances be held responsible for snow conditions. No holiday can be cancelled, altered or amended, once the holiday has commenced, on the basis of snow or weather conditions.

Insurance: Ski Express recommends that all passengers take out adequate travel insurance to cover cancellations, health requirements, luggage and valuables, loss of skiing due to injury, etc. Please inquire at time of booking.

Responsibility: Ski Express gives notice that it acts as agent only for the persons or companies providing or offering the means of travel conveyance, transport, accommodation or other services, and all receipts, tickets, vouchers, coupons are issued subject to the terms and conditions under which transportation and services are offered. Some of these providers or suppliers limit or exclude their liability and are often subject to international convention between countries. All possible care is taken to ensure that suppliers maintain a high standard. However, as Ski Express does not control the airlines, car operators or hotels, it is not responsible, in any way, for problems resulting from the booking, howsoever arising, unless it is the direct result of negligence on its part, or the part of its employees. Any liability on Ski Express part shall be limited to a maximum of the tour cost, subject to these conditions. Ski Express cannot accept responsibility for an aspect of your holiday affected by matters over which it has no control including, without limitation, war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, natural disaster, weather conditions, fire, flood, drought, industrial disputes, government action or reasonable apprehension of the foregoing, cancellation, curtailment or rescheduling of flights.
