Resort Guide
Niseko Located in the south west of Hokkaido, the area of Niseko is considered “Japan’s skiing Mecca”.
It is a combination of 3 resorts – Grand Hirafu, Niseko Village & Annupuri, all sharing a common summit area at the peak of Mt Annupuri. Moving between the 3 resorts by road is made simple by the courtesy shuttle service (available with a valid lift pass).

Accommodation choices are varied amongst the 3 resorts. Hirafu, located at the foot of Grand Hirafu, is the largest and most popular of the 3 offering many standards of hotels, lodges and pensions along with après activities galore. Niseko Village is located just 20mins drive from Hirafu and is smaller and quieter. Some argue the quickest way to the slopes for first tracks is from the Higashiyama base area.
Resort Information
Hirafu is the most popular village with many hotels and lodges along with a wide range of restaurant, cafes and bars offering après ski which is arguably better than any other resort in Japan. Annupuri is a picturesque village, which offers restaurants, bars and cafes but unlike its bigger neighbour, Hirafu, does not get as crowded.
Lift Tickets
The All Mountain Lift Pass allows you to ski at whichever resort you choose, providing access to all of the Hirafu, Higashiyama and Annupuri ski fields. The lift facilities operate for over 12 hours each day from 8.30am - 9.00pm. Lift passes are valid from the day after arrival until 4.30pm on the day prior to departure.
Night Skiing
The area is renowned for its fabulous night skiing, which is included in the All Mountain Lift Pass. The illuminated area is considered the largest in Japan, with great visibility that even the tree runs are accessible. Available 4.30pm - 9pm.
FREE Guided Skiing
Complimentary 2 hour mountain orientation is included, this operates at scheduled times and our staff will be able to provide you with all of the details.
Getting there
Closest Int'l & Dom Airport: New Chitose Airport - Sapporo (2 ½ hrs drive).
Shuttles services operate from New Chitose Airport and downtown Sapporo and are included in the cost of your Ski Express Holiday.
