BOOKING CONDITIONS
The Ski Express website was updated the beginning of February 2010. The information was valid at the time of publication, but is subject to change without notice. Price valid from 12 June to 30 September 2010 for Queenstown, Methven & Mt Ruapehu (note The Remarkables & Mt Ruapehu is not scheduled to open until 19 June 2010) & 25 June to 30 September 2010 for Wanaka unless otherwise specified & are subject to change.
Reservations: Bookings can be made through licensed AFTA travel agents.
They should normally be processed and confirmed within 48 hours.
Prices: Prices are quoted in Australian dollars and are current at the time
of printing. Should the exchange rates fluctuate, or ground/airline costs
increase, you will be required to pay any such increase, prior to departure.
New Zealand departure and airport taxes are not included.

guarantee standard or class of accommodation, car hire, transport or
sightseeing. Maps are not to scale and should be used as a guide only.

Late Bookings: For any request status bookings taken within 7 days of
departure, a $33 surcharge fee will apply.
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $165 per passenger will be required
at the time of confirmation of booking.
Balance: The balance amount owing is due in full 45 days prior to
departure, or immediately if departing within 45 days, with the exception
of selected Earlybird holidays; full payment is due 30 April 10.
Land Only: A minimum stay of 3 nights's is required. We apply a service fee of $33 per booking, but where the total gross value of the booking is over $1750, the fee will be waived.
Documents: Issue of travel documents will be, with best endeavours, within
21 days of departure. During peak periods of operation, documents will be
issued, based on departure dates.
Cancellations: Cancellation of a booking before final payment ( or 60 days prior to dedparture) will incur a $165 per passenger fee plus any airline/hotel/ground operator fees. Within 7 days, 100% of the total holiday price will be charged.
Refunds: After departure from Australia no refunds can be made on unused services. However unused open-dated accommodation vouchers beyond the minimum purchased requirements are refundable. A $55 handling fee will e charged. refund applications must be made through your travel agent within 45 days of your return to Australia.
Amendments: All changes to bookings will incur a $33 fee per change. If amendments occur after documentation has been issued, a fee of $55 will be charged.
Insurance: Ski Express recommends that all passengers take out adaquate travel insurance to cover cancellations, health requirements, luggage & valuables etc.
Bond: A bond may be required at some accommodation by credit card
authorisation.
Snow Conditions: Ski areas provide snow reports indicating conditions at
the time of compiling. Ski Express cannot under any circumstances be
held responsible for snow conditions. No holiday can be cancelled, altered
or amended, once the holiday has commenced, on the basis of snow or
weather conditions. Note that from time to time one or more ski area may
be closed and some ski areas may open later or close earlier in the season
than indicated. This is totally outside the control of Ski Express and is not
grounds for any refund. Please note that although Ski Hosts will be
available at the Ski Express office in Queenstown and Methven throughout
their availability at resident hosted hotels may vary depending on snow
conditions and demand.
Resort & Gold Resort Passes: No refund is available for unused days and the
Pass dates cannot be changed once your holiday has commenced
(although an extra pass can be issued for extra days purchased from your
Ski Host). There will be no refund if both Coronet Peak and The
Remarkables are closed in Queenstown, or if Mt Hutt in Methven is
closed. On “closed days” a set choice of activities will be on offer through
the Ski Express Activity Centre. The Resort Pass is non-exchangeable and
non-transferable. If the pass is lost there are certain checking/indemnity
procedures which must take place before a replacement can be issued.
The time taken for these procedures means that it is not possible to
immediately re-issue a pass. This can only be done at the Ski Express
Activity Centre.
Responsibility: Ski Express gives notice that it acts as agent only for the
persons or companies providing or offering the means of travel
conveyance, transport, accommodation or other services, and all receipts,
tickets, vouchers, coupons are issued subject to the terms and conditions
under which transportation and services are offered. Some of these
providers or suppliers limit or exclude their liability and are often subject
to international convention between countries. All possible care is taken to
ensure that suppliers maintain a high standard. However, as Newmans
Holidays does not control the airlines, car operators or hotels, it is not
responsible, in any way, for problems resulting from the booking,
howsoever arising, unless it is the direct result of negligence on its part, or
the part of its employees. Any liability on Ski Express part shall be limited
to a maximum of the tour cost, subject to these conditions. Ski Express
cannot accept responsibility for an aspect of your holiday affected by
matters over which it has no control including, without limitation, war or
threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, natural disaster, weather
conditions, fire, flood, drought, industrial disputes, government action or
reasonable apprehension of the foregoing, cancellation, curtailment or
rescheduling of flights.
