Cardrona Alpine Resort is a relaxed and friendly ski and snowboard resort located between Wanaka and Queenstown. Anyone and everyone is welcome at Cardrona.

Friends, families, those living nearby, those from faraway, skiers, snowboarders, teenagers, kids, and senior citizens. Cardrona has specialist slopes for beginners, wide open groomed slopes for intermediates, chutes for the more advanced and an extensive park for freestylers. Four kids centres (3 months - 14 years), three terrain parks, up to four half pipes, five cafes, and three basins of a variety of skiing make Cardrona a very special resort indeed.

Ski, snowboard, moto FMX and snowmobile Big Air action make up the Relentless Cardrona Games. It's the largest snow sports party and event in New Zealand and held at Cardrona Alpine Resort.

 

This year it takes place under floodlights, at night, on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 July.

In 2008, its third year, a series of Big Air competitions - Ski and Snowboard, FMX, and Snowmobile - will take place in rapid-fire 20 minute slots between 6pm and 8pm. They all take lace at the base area (Snowmobile and FMX) or from the new "Monster" Big Air just above the beginner’s platter lift (Ski and Snowboard). A famous NZ DJ, Sola Rosa, is coming down from Auckland to get the party rocking.

 

Cardrona’s Renowned Kids’ Club

Cardrona boasts the best on mountain children’s facilities in New Zealand. Childcare is available at the Kids Korral for babies as young as 3 months.

Pre-schoolers are kept busy at the Ski Korral whilst there is a cool kids’ club for primary age kids. Pre-booking is essential direct with Cardrona Alpine Resort.
