Where are The Remarkables?

The Remarkables (aka The Remarks as the locals call it!) are situated only 40 minutes drive from Central Queenstown.

Terrain Talk

The Remarkables caters for all skiers & riders – beginners to advanced. Beginners enjoy the gentle terrain accessed by two magic carpets and two chairlifts. Novice’s are invited to carve out their mark across 40% of the terrain that has been designed for novice skier and riders. The Shadow chair serves a swath of terrain for the advanced and expert snow user.  If you prefer to get off the main trails The Remarks also has a network of terrain parks which will excite all free skiers & riders. These included the Tararua Real Iced Coffee (TRIC) Beginner/Novice Terrain Park, the larger, world-class Dirty Dog Terrain Park and the Southern Hemisphere’s first Stash, an evolutionary, revolutionary Burton signature park. Sounds awesome right?

Lessons & Kids

All the ski fields in New Zealand have great ski schools with Qualified Local & international instructors  so you can learn or improve everyday you are on the snow. The Remarkable also has a fully licensed Skiwiland Early Learning Centre on the mountain for children from 3 months to 5 years. From Skiwiland they graduate to a variety of ski and ride programmes suited to all ages and stages up to 17 years.

What makes the Remarkables a bit different?

For non skiers or those after a change of pace, they will love the freedom of sliding down a purpose-built trail in a tube at the Ozone Tubing Park – no previous experience required. Tubing is amazing  fun for everyone!!

Chill Out Zones

While enjoying another bluebird day at The Remarks and the sense of exhilaration you experience while exploring the mountain and its diverse terrain. Don’t forget to take a break and enjoy some great facilities & chill out zones on the mountain. This includes The Remarkables Cafe & Bar which boasts an expansive deck showing off the magnificent alpine views of Coronet Peak & the Wakatipu Basin.
