If you haven’t been to South Lake Tahoe recently, you’re in for a surprise. Gone are the old motels and t-shirt shops, replaced by a vibrant village, up-scale lodging and exquisite restaurants. Heavenly has turned this quirky ski town into a double-black-diamond destination.
Over $250 million were poured into mountain and village improvements – a gondola, new resort hotels, new lifts, advanced snowmaking and grooming, extensive lodge renovations, a world-class ski school facility, and a family adventure center that lets non-skiers join the high-altitude fun!
And Heavenly's not done yet. The resort is currently in the approval phase for a 10 year Master Plan that will bring a number of new improvements, beginning with a new lift on the Nevada side and an on-mountain, day-use lodge. The improvements continue in year three of Heavenly’s ten-year master plan that promises a steady stream of new lifts, on-mountain restaurants, lodging and base villages that will greatly improve the overall experience.
