Snow lovers have flocked to Coronet Peak to enjoy winter sports since it opened as New Zealand’s first commercial ski field over 70 years ago. It remains one of the most popular resorts in the country, and folk just keep coming back for more of the dynamic atmosphere.
The learner area is away from the intermediate and advanced tracks and close to the base; great for families and beginners. Lessons are available from age five. For those with more experience, the runs further up the mountain cover diverse rolling terrain that provides plenty of variety and excitement.
A state-of-the-art automated snow-making system makes for a reliable season every year. With fantastic views and world-class base facilities adding to the experience, Coronet Peak is a favourite destination for locals and visitors alike.
Night skiing and first tracks mean Coronet Peak offers longer on-snow hours than any other ski area in the country.
Starts 19 June 2021 – Ends 26 September 2021
Open daily during July school holidays, 4 – 19 Jul. Then open Saturday & Sunday, with potential for extra days to be added during the season.
