Cardrona

The highest of NZ’s ski fields resulting in reliable powdery snow & breathtaking views. Cardrona has a terrific learner area with a variety of beginner lifts, long, wide gentle slopes and fantastic views towards Queenstown and Wanaka.

‘Cardie’ as the locals call it is situated on the Cardrona Valley road which links Wanaka and Queenstown. It is 35 minutes from Wanaka and only 1 hour from Queenstown. Cardrona Alpine Resort offers something for everyone whether you are a first timer or a seasoned expert.

On Snow Accommodation

You always hear that New Zealand doesn’t have any on snow accommodation but at Cardrona they do! It is essential to book SUPER EARLY as it’s so awesome staying only 1 minute walk to the ski lifts that repeat clients & locals book it over and over again a year in advance!

There are 5 cafes on the mountain. The Base Cafe, Mezz Cafe, Juice and Java Bar, Noodle Bar and captains Pizzeria. You won’t go hungry thats for sure.
