Our Recreational equipment is ideal for first-timers and novice snowboarders, offering easy-to-use gear designed to build confidence and make learning fun.

We use beginner-friendly, industry-leading equipment including Burton Learn to Ride snowboards, helping you get fitted faster and spend more time on the slopes.

Pick-up & return options

You can choose the option that works best for your trip:

In-town (Queenstown Snow Centre – 9 Duke Street):

• Pick up your gear from 3pm the day before your first ski day
• Must be returned to the same outlet
• You’ll need to transport equipment to and between mountains yourself

On-mountain (Coronet Peak or The Remarkables):

• Collect on the day of skiing
• Return at either Queenstown mountain for added flexibility

Important information

• Children ages are 4–15 years old (inclusive)
• Equipment is not available for children aged 3 years and under
• Gloves, goggles, and sunglasses are not available for hire (available for purchase on-mountain)
• Overnight storage charges may apply for SnowBiz rentals stored on-mountain
