Dart River Wilderness Safari

It’s more than a jetboat ride each safari is a total wilderness experience into the Mt Aspiring National Park World Heritage Area. This journey into Middle Earth combines 1.5 hours jetboating amidst the spectacular scenery of the Southern Alps; a gentle walk in ancient forests amidst birdsong and cultural heritage, and a backroad journey through the high country farmland and forests around Paradise – film location for “Lord of the Rings”.

Trip Details

• Afternoon tours with transport included depart from Dart River Safaris Queenstown booking office at 11.45am. Please note, check in is required 15 minutes prior to departure.
• You will spend approximately 2 hours on the jet boat.

• Gloves (during the colder months)

Restrictions

• Children must be at least 3 years old to travel.
• Minimum child height is 100cm, but may be increased to 120cm in some river conditions.
• This experience is not suitable for pregnant women, those with specific medical conditions, including people who suffer from back or neck injuries.  Please contact us prior to booking so we can assess and advise your suitability to travel.
